I got the feeling that I will be VERY VERY busy in this semester since every professor announced the advent of homeworks in the 1st class of every course. I know it'll sounds a bit strange for those who attend colleges in the US(or probably anywhere else), but here in Taiwan, we students don't really get assigned hws. At least not much in most subjects and not every professor will do so. You need to work on the problem sets provided by the textbooks or professors yourself, and ask questions in classes or at office hours. Honestly, I don't know if this is good or bad for the students, especially for those who are not so assiduous.
Anyway, I managed to get 2 cheap textbooks today, one bought from a senior(he wrote nothing in the book, I wonder how did he study...), another one ordered from a local book store, which will come with no hardcover and poorer paper quality but almost 50% off. However, the most important things is that they're both authorized version so it's perfectly legal to buy them and the content is the same as the more expensive ones. Besides that, I still need to buy another 3 brand new textbooks.
Oh! I forgot to mention that I met the senior at the Lab accidentally, he told me what I should study now in order to participate in the project. Mainly: 3 papers + roughly go through OpenGL.
At last, I hope that one day I will become the pioneer in engineering!
(status: currently working hard XD)
